The Ancient Heart Tree Blooms
In autumn he show\'d me the gardens
Alit with the colours of fall;
And in the sparkling, falling leaves
He swept away my maiden shawl;
And together there we could lay
Loving our sorrows away

As autumn grew darker he grac\'d me
With gifts and kisses and words;
And among the whizzen\'d trees
His love he made me deserve;

When the cold kiss of Queen Winter
First nipp\'d the faltering air;
And ice swept the green grass at dawn
